It's all for you Bran

I don't think people realize how much a death in the family affects you until it happens. I know I fell into that group. I would feel sadness for someone who had lost a family member. Never really knowing how they felt. My grandparents died when I was younger, but that was before I could really understand it. The death of a young person however, pierces straight through your heart causing it to shatter. The ache is so profound you can't catch your breath. You feel like crumbling into a million little pieces.
This has been my experience over the last week. my sweet nephew Brandon, passed away at the young age of 21. He had Lupus and struggled with his health. He spent the last four months of his life trying to regain it. Brandon's moment of triumph, was being called home by our Heavenly Father.
Death. It hurts the living, the loved ones left behind. It leaves us aching, trying to continue life with a hole in our heart. But it can also serve a purpose. It brings people together. The best parts of us shine. acts of service, compassion, empathy. People you have never met want to help. All for a sweet young man who was too young to leave us. His mourning and broken family has seen a wonderful side of humans. The human race becomes what God intended us to be. Love.
