Our Thursday harvest! 5 lbs of onions, 5 lbs of cucumbers, 2 lbs of tomatoes and a bell pepper.
We have had a lot of wind and rain so some of my onions, even though on the smaller side, had to be pulled.
So I cut them up and freeze them. I love freezing as a way of food preservation. It's fast and easy and freezing preserves the flavor of the produce really well.
I also made some delicious freezer pickles with all my cucumbers. I just learned how to make these a week ago and they are so yummy. It is a great way to preserve your cucumbers.
